High School "Options" Fairs

The IMSA Office of Admissions welcomes invitations from Chicago and other area schools for an IMSA representative to attend their high school "options" fairs.

High school "options" fairs are typically held in the fall and are opportunities for 6th, 7th, and/or 8th grade students and their schools' faculty to learn about the opportunity of IMSA and other selective high schools. By attending "options" fairs, IMSA is able to reach a large number of students who may not be aware of the Academy and all it has to offer. If you are a faculty/staff member of a school hosting and event of this nature and would like an IMSA representative or IMSA materials present, please send an email to diversity@imsa.edu.

Project School Visit

PSV is a field trip type program designed to give underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students in 7th and 8th grade an opportunity to visit IMSA and learn more about the Academy as an option for high school. Regional middle schools are asked to bring students who have interest and/or talent in math or science to participate in a one-half day experience at the Academy. The students typically participate in a science project with IMSA faculty and students, take a tour of the Academy, and have lunch in IMSA's cafeteria.

For more information about the PSV program please send an email to diversity@imsa.edu.
