Professional Development

Looking for ways to improve your classes or your teaching?

The Mathematics Team at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in conjunction with
The Center @ IMSA is pleased to be able to offer a number of professional development activities for teachers across the state. If you have an idea for a workshop, consider us! We will try to work with you to create and offer a workshop to address your needs, your hopes, and your schedule (within reason!).

Consider the possibilities...

Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus · Calculus (reform-based) · Patterns and Problem Solving · New topics for Middle School · Technology: Texas Instruments calculators or Mathematica · Computer Science · Working with standards · Other ideas???

If any of these possibilities sounds interesting, please contact Colleen Cromley if you are interested in arranging for a workshop or course or would like more information.

Sharing our work: Classroom Activities

Please click here to see a list of classroom activities and materials for Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus that we have created and used here at IMSA. These may be downloaded for your use in pdf format.
