SIR Oral Presentation Tips

After your talk

Taking questions after the talk Be sure to list your important points on a final summary slide. This slide will serve to reemphasize what you hope listeners will remember about your project.

Ask for questions from your audience. Questions are a good thing! They mean that people have paid attention, and are interested in getting clarification, more information, or may have new insights from your presentation.

Anticipate critical questions from the audience and be prepared to answer them succinctly. If you do not know the answer to a question, do not be afraid to say so. It is better to be honest than to get caught making something up.
