Abstract:

The objective of this investigation has been to create a layered map of the Hidden Bluffs Farm in Iowa using computer aided mapping software. The final goal of this project is to create a set of instruction on how to use the software, and to have a working map of the farm for conservation and natural resource development. A GPS was used to take coordinates of data points which were included in the map. Layers of aerial photos and topographical maps were added to the map for adjustable visualizations. Layers of data points and polygons linked to database information were also added to allow the viewing of key information. The instructions for use of this software are under development
