Organizations that foster Student Inquiry and Research

IMSA staff and and students participate in international organizations that seek to encourage student who are interested in research; IMSA has a local club to support this work.

• International Student Research Organization: This IMSA organization supports the work of the World Academy of Young Scientists (WAYS) and the Network of Youth Excellence (see links below) through communication with other international members of WAYS and the Hungarian Students Research Organization. IMSA student members have participated in research exchanges, both as hosts and guests, and have represented the United States as delegates to the NATO Network of Youth Excellence Research Forums, WAYS conferences, and the World Science Forum. Membership is open to any interested IMSA student who is interested in research. For more information, please contact the SIR Coordinator.

• Network of Youth Excellence: The Network of Youth Excellence promotes the development of scientific talent among young people between the ages of 15 and 21 by encouraging mentoring, international research exchange, the establishment and enhancement of student research programs, and the identification of model research programs. • World Academy of Young Scientists (WAYS): WAYS provides a forum for young scientists between the ages of 15 and 40 to interact with international colleagues, collaborate on research projects and issues, bridge the generational and economic gaps among scientists, and influence public policy on science.
