Student Leadership and Development

Sophomore Navigation is a  first semester program for all sophomores , held on Inquiry days from 10 AM-11:30 AM.  The sophomore class is divided into small groups of approximately 14 students with one or two adult facilitators.  In their small groups, students process what they are experiencing in various aspects of their life at IMSA, academically, socially, and emotionally.  Each session focuses on a topic that is relevant to the sophomore experience and addresses the Student Leadership Development Competencies and certain IMSA Standards of Significant Learning. Some topics are presented  in a large group presentation format, followed at times by small group discussion.
