IMSA Board of Trustees Elects Griffin Vice Chairman

AURORA -- The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) Board of Trustees has elected St. Charles resident Sheila MB Griffin its vice chairman. She fills the vacancy created when Dr. Leon Lederman resigned from the board to join IMSA’s staff as its inaugural Resident Scholar.

Griffin is Vice President and Director of the Strategic Marketing Office at Motorola Incorporated in Schaumburg, IL.

In 1985, Griffin was appointed by Governor James Thompson as a founding trustee of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. Since then, Griffin has served on the Technology Subcommittee of the board and on the board’s Executive Committee, a position she continues to hold today. She was reappointed to the IMSA Board in 1995 by Governor Jim Edgar.

Griffin has published numerous articles on cellular, paging, mobile communications and the application of marketing research to the communications industry. She is a member of the prestigious Council of Marketing Research of the Conference Board, Executive Member of the American Marketing Association, Member of the Advertising Research Foundation and Radio Club of America.
