IMSA Board Members Appointed

AURORA -- The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) Board of Trustees has two new members, Luis Nuñez and Sharon Tenhouse. Both were appointed by Governor George Ryan.

Nuñez is a chemist at Argonne National Laboratory in the Separation Science and Technology Section. He also is an adjunct assistant professor at Northern Illinois University where he participates in research and teaching programs of the chemistry department. Nuñez earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Northern Illinois University.

Tenhouse is a teacher and parent educator for Community Unit School District #2 in Liberty, Illinois. She also has worked in Batavia and Mendon, in early childhood special education and elementary education. She earned a Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Illinois.

In addition, three IMSA board members have been reappointed by the Governor. They are: Chairman John H. McEachern, Jr., president of Wayne Circuits Incorporated; Vice-Chairman Sheila MB Griffin, vice president and director, Strategic Marketing Office, Motorola Incorporated; and Dr. Marsha Rosner, professor at The Ben May Institute for Cancer Research, The University of Chicago.
