IMSA Ranks First in North Suburban Math League

AURORA-- The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) captured first place in overall points in this year's North Suburban Math League competition.
Five meets in the North Suburban Math League were held this year. The culminating one, held March 1 at Evanston High School, involved 55 Chicagoland high schools. In the competition, freshman, sophomore, junior and senior teams were tested in numerous mathematical areas. In addition, an oral event was held for individuals in the first four meets.
Three of IMSA's students scored perfect papers at the conference meet. They were Dan Gulotta of Naperville and Zhihao Liu of Lisle at the Junior level, and Ying Shi of North Aurora at the Freshman level. Senior Nicholas Rupprecht of Gurnee was the high scorer in the first four meets in the Oralist category.
