Famed Journalist Claudia Dreifus to Speak at IMSA

AURORA--  Claudia Dreifus, renowned journalist and interviewer, will  present A Story of a Journalist  at the Illinois Mathematics and Science  Academy (IMSA) on Tuesday, November 5 at 10:30 a.m.

Illinois Journalism educators and their students have been invited to attend the event or participate via live video streaming.  Dreifus will speak on a variety of topics including interviewing, writing biographies,  and the field of journalism.  CBS News anchor Dan Rather has called Dreifus  "one of the world's great interviewers and a superb writer."

Claudia Dreifus has been a journalist since the 1960s. Before coming to the Science Times section of The New York Times, she was known for her incisive interviews with international political figures and cultural icons. Her work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Playboy, Ms., The Progressive, and Modern Maturity.

In her latest book, Scientific Conversations:  Interviews on Science from The New York Times, Dreifus delves into the thoughts and lives of some of the most intriguing minds. From Nobel Laureates to virtually unknown innovators she introduces and explains the personalities behind their great accomplishments.
