Ocean Issues to Be Explored at IMSA Great Minds Program® Lecture

AURORA -- Dr. Marcia McNutt, president and chief executive officer of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, will present Engineering the Ocean at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) on Tuesday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m.

During her lecture, part of the IMSA Great Minds ProgramÒ lecture series, Dr. McNutt will discuss the latest developments in the use of technology to explore and understand Earth’s last frontier, the oceans. Dr. McNutt will explore whether we will use our power to change ocean conditions wisely.

During a special reception following the lecture, McNutt will sign copies of Deep Sea. The book includes the latest findings by scientists from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute.
