AURORA — The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) has scheduled a series of admissions events this fall and winter for prospective students and parents to learn more about IMSA's academic, residential and admission programs. Visit the IMSA Admission website at www.imsa.edu/admissions to see a listing of various admission program offerings for prospective students.
Applications for the IMSA Class of 2008, which will enroll next fall, are now available. One can apply either online (with supplemental written materials) or in print (PDF, 235k). Talented Illinois students enrolled in the equivalent of a ninth grade program are eligible for consideration. Tuition and most room and board expenses are provided by state funds. The application and all supplemental materials must be completed and returned to IMSA, postmarked no later than March 1, 2005. Students should contact their high school guidance counselor or IMSA's admission office at (630) 907-5028 or 1-800-500-IMSA to receive an application.
IMSA, which opened in 1986, has graduated more than 2700 students with college placement rates of more than 99%. The Academy offers advanced courses in mathematics, science, the arts and humanities with an emphasis on connections within and across the disciplines. Research is an important part of the academic program and enables students to work with faculty, scientists and scholars. The Academy also offers many fine and performing arts opportunities, 32 co-curricular activities and 18 interscholastic sports.

The Saturday Live at IMSA
sessions will be held one Saturday most months from October through May. Saturday Live at IMSA
dates are available from the Saturday Live at IMSA
section of the IMSA Admissions website. During the Saturday sessions, admission staff will be available from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. to answer questions. Tours also will be available as well as opportunities to speak with current IMSA students. Space is limited and advance reservations are required. Please call the IMSA Office of Admission at 630-907-5028 or 1-800-500-IMSA (4672) to schedule your Saturday visit. Lunch tickets will be available.
Visitor Information Program (VIP) Days
IMSA hosts two large open houses each year. Visitor Information Program Days are an opportunity for students and their parents and teachers interested in learning more about the Academy's academic and residential life programs. Come meet with current IMSA students, their parents, IMSA staff, and get a first hand look at what our programs are about! Several discussion panels and tours of our facilities will be held on these afternoons.

Programs run from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Special musical entertainment by IMSA students will begin at 12:30 PM. VIP Days include a structured program. Please arrive on time. No reservations are required.
