IMSA® SEEKS “EXPLORERS” FOR SPRINGFIELD SUMMER SCIENCE CAMP

AURORA – The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) Kids Institute®  is now accepting registrations for its Science Explorers, Jr. camp this summer at its new location in Springfield, July 30-August 3, 2007. 

This program is offered to students who will enter 3rd or 4th grades in the fall of 2007 and will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Lincoln Land Community College.  To download an application, visit www.imsa.edu/programs, call (630) 907-5950 or email summerprograms@imsa.edu.  The application deadline is Friday, May 25, 2007

During the program developed by IMSA students, young scientists will explore the depths of the ocean, become an amateur engineer/architect, test different alterative energy sources, practice weird medicine, and investigate chemistry with different solutions and mixtures.  Under the guidance of IMSA staff members, the program will be collaboratively taught by IMSA students with assistance from Grant Middle School students in Springfield.
