Other Great Minds® Activities
Biography Project
Dr. Leon Lederman and Dr. Judith Scheppler spent the last three years working with students to write a book for middle school students profiling key scientists in the 20th Century. Students researched the science and interviewed the scientists. We launched the book on November 14, 2001. Read about the book.
White Papers
As a result of a IMSA Great Minds Program® Dialogue on April 8, 1999 entitled Physics First? Redesigning the Science Curriculum for High Schools, we have produced a white paper summarizing this conversation. The purpose of this dialogue was to create conditions for solutions to emerge-to bring together those on the forefront of innovative educational policy and those in the classroom who work directly with our children.
The IMSA Great Minds Program® is continuing this series of Conversations that Matter
.
Collaborations
We strive to work together with our faculty departments and other educational leaders around the country to identify critical issues that need to be addressed and set a bold agenda for learning.
Learning-at-a-Distance
IMSA's Instructional Technology Laboratory/Toyota Video Production Laboratory is providing opportunities for distance learning to the public through video teleconferencing connections to area schools. We can expand this technology across the nation to those interested in our seminars. Not all events are available -- please check individual events for availability.
