"How do we come to know the natural world and our place in it?"

Man has always had a natural curiosity about his world. We strive to improve conditions for our lives through medicine and technology. We explore from the greatest depths of our oceans into the farthest reaches of space. We ask where we came from and why and how?

Over time, as science and society gain greater understanding of our natural world, our theories of the universe and evolution change. How does this process occur? How does a scientist support a theory that he or she believes to be true? When is he or she right? When is he or she wrong? How do we know?

This Dialogue brought together three diverse scientists for a conversation about being a scientist, doing science, and the important challenges that science faces in the twenty-first century.
