IMSA on Wheels is a mobile science theater offered to elementary schools throughout the Chicagoland area. IMSA on Wheels is an assembly-style show for elementary students in grades three through five; it is designed to spark student interest in science and encourage learning.. The current program is called "Science is Shocking" and features demonstrations on electricity and magnetism. The program is sponsored by a grant from 3M and BP. Similar to other Kids Institute programs, IMSA on Wheels is developed and taught by IMSA students with supervision from IMSA faculty and staff.
