The Class Year Challenge Is Underway!

With the launch of the public campaign, the competition has officially begun! From July 18 through December 31, every new gift to Where Curiosity Lives: A Campaign to Reinvent Residence Life can help a class move closer to claiming the Class Cup.

When making a gift, donors can simply select the class team they would like to support. Alumni, parents, current and former faculty and staff, students, and friends of IMSA are all welcome to designate their gifts in support of a class.

Current Class Year Leaders as of the end of July:

  1. Class of 1994 — $11,000
  2. Class of 1999 — $10,000
  3. Class of 1996 — $4,076.88
  4. Class of 1989 — $1,500
  5. Class of 2000 — $600

The Class of 1994 has taken an early lead, but there is still plenty of time for another class to rally its community and climb the leaderboard before the challenge concludes on October 9.

The winning class will:

  • Be honored on the Class Cup
  • Receive recognition on the IMSA website, in email communications, and across social media
  • Earn a special gift for every alum and student donor representing the winning class
  • Have a component within the new student center named in its honor

Want to give your class an additional advantage? Alumni can become volunteer fundraisers and invite classmates, family members, friends, and others in their networks to participate. For more information, visit

Choose your class, make your gift, and help move your team up the leaderboard!

Additional challenges will be introduced throughout the year, providing even more opportunities for the IMSA community to participate, compete, and help reinvent residence life.
