On October 9, the IMSA community gathered at Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook Terrace for An Evening with IMSA, an IMSA 40 event. Alumni, faculty, staff, families, and friends of IMSA came together to celebrate forty years of innovation, achievement, and the community that continues to shape IMSA’s legacy.
The evening took guests on a journey through IMSA’s past, present, and future. Founding IMSA President Dr. Stephanie Pace Marshall reflected on IMSA’s beginnings and shared a special reading from her forthcoming book, Weavers of Our Time. The celebration also recognized the accomplishments of the 2026 Alumni Award recipients: Courtney Thompson ‘03 (Titan Award), Jared Kaplan ‘01 (Trailblazer Award), Dr. Daniel Murariu ‘99 (Distinguished Leadership Award), and the late Lavina Jadhwani ‘01 (Distinguished Leadership Award.)
Looking ahead into the future, IMSA President Dr. Evan Glazer shared the Academy’s vision for its next chapter, including the Where Curiosity Lives Campaign, a $15 million capital project to transform residential life for future generations of IMSA students. With nearly $9 million already committed, the campaign represents the community’s shared interest and investment in IMSA’s future.
