45 IMSA Students From 27 Communities Named National Merit Finalists

Aurora, IL, February 8, 2018 – The National Merit® Scholarship Program recently named 45 finalists from the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) in its 2018 competition. IMSA finalists represent 27 different communities throughout Illinois. Nearly 25 percent of IMSA’s senior class are recognized as finalists.

Approximately half of the finalists will receive National Merit Scholarships for undergraduate study totaling more than $32 million. Merit Scholars® will be announced in the spring of 2018.

Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA)

Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) is the world’s leading teaching and learning laboratory for imagination and inquiry and an esteemed three-year residential high school.
