Delayed Start to IMSA Academic Year

Dear Staff, Students and Parents,

Knowing that our residence halls renovation project could experience some delays, as often happens in large-scale projects, in early June we set mid-July as the time to make a decision about whether we would need to delay the start of our 2014-15 academic year.

This week, I met with John Wandolowski, Director, Facilities Planning and Development, and consulted with Cathy Veal, President, Dr. Bob Hernandez, Director of Student Affairs, and others.  Due to delays in the renovation process beyond our control, we need to delay student move-in days, the first day of classes, and related opening activities one week.  Academic and residential staff will return as originally scheduled.

The new calendar follows;  please note these changes and plan accordingly.  Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and patience with our long-needed, much-welcomed renovation.
