IMSA Students Compete, Win at MSI's "Who Wants to be a Mathematician"

anton_with_check.jpgOn November 7, twelve IMSA students were specially invited to attend the Arnold Ross lecture at the Museum of Science and Industry, along with Faculty Members Dr. Steven Condie, Dr. Micah Fogel, and Dr. Michael Keyton, Two IMSA students, Ka Wai (Joanne) Lee and Anton Karpovich qualified to participate in the post-lecture game "Who Wants to be a Mathematician," and both represented the academy admirably, with Anton answering every question correctly and winning the game in an exciting tie-breaker. She took home $3,000 and a Texas Instruments Nspire Calculator.

Earlier this year, Emily Mu won an all expense paid trip to Baltimore to compete in the National "Who Wants to be a Mathematician" contest.
