Senior Ana Curtis Accepted into Highly Selective Young Writers Workshop

IMSA Senior Ana Curtis was accepted into the Alpha Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Workshop for Young Writers, which will take place at the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg campus this summer. Only 20 students ages 14-19 are chosen to participate in this highly selective workshop, which will take place from July 23 to August 2. During the program, Ana will have the opportunity to work with and receive feedback from professional authors, attend readings, and submit original works for publication. 

According to the Alpha website, attendees have placed in the Dell Magazines Award and Writers of the Future contests, and have sold stories to Clarkesworld, Strange Horizons, Fantasy Magazine, Daily Science Fiction, Cicada, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet, Nature Futures, Pseudopod and more.
