Summer@IMSA coming to Springfield, Belleville and Bethalto! Space available!

The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) is bringing hands-on, action-packed summer camps for children grades 3rd thru 8th to Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield July 31 through August 4, Belle Valley School in Belleville June 19-23 and July  24-28, and Civic Memorial High School in Bethalto July 10-14.

STEMvironment engages 3rd and 4th graders with real-world STEM concepts like solar and water power, energy transfer, and recycling chemistry to design, build and improve their own energy efficient house.

E2: Engineering Explorations, designed for 5th and 6th graders, features hands-on activities including boat building and racing, a Rube Goldberg competition, creating a mini-artificial lung, and building a Bristlebot!

Smart phones and scope lenses send 7th and 8th graders on a micro-mystery tour discovering the intricate workings of microwaves, molecules, circuits and code.
