3. Leadership Positioning
Another tactic is to position IMSA’s leadership in key statewide educational leadership positions, such as the P-20 Council and Joint Education Leadership Committee. In these specific roles, the President was able to drive a major revision to the statewide School Report Card and lead professional development for the Mathematics Common Core Assessment. Most importantly, however, participation in these activities provided the opportunity to sustain and strengthen existing legislative relationships as well as foster new ones.
