You have probably read “your participation is more important than the size of your gift” in an annual letter from the Academy. We often hear alumni, especially young alumni, say they don't give because they cannot make a big gift, so their gift won't have an impact. That's simply not true.
Alumni giving participation figures are significant for many reasons, including the fact that major donors and grant makers often look to alumni participation levels before making their gift commitment. Participation numbers are important to show Illinois legislators that IMSA matters to it’s alumni - to you. That you value the education and experiences you received by the tax payers of Illinois, and that it should continue to provide students throughout the State the opportunity to be surrounded by the best and brightest.
“My education and overall experience at IMSA have helped me grow and develop into the person I am today,” states Lonzell Wilson ’90. He and wife Judy donate annually to the IMSA Fund so that other students can have those same opportunities.
Pledge your yearly support to IMSA's Annual Fund Campaign to make sure your class has the highest participation rate each year.
The IMSA Fund supports the IMSA Alumni Association (IAA), an active partner for IMSA's Annual Fund Campaign. Please consider making a gift to the IMSA Fund today and getting involved with the many volunteer opportunities available through the IAA.
