Your student does not have to be a resident of Illinois to attend our programs. IMSA is now taking applications from Illinois ninth grade students for consideration to its three-year (grades 10-12) advanced college preparatory program, which uses innovative instructional programs that foster imagination and inquiry to develop creative, ethical leaders in science and mathematics.
Each year, approximately 250 gifted students are invited to attend the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. Located in Aurora, 40 miles west of downtown Chicago, IMSA is a public residential high school. Students here soon discover the excitement of belonging to a supportive community of bright, motivated classmates and teachers while gaining experiences and achieving at levels rarely obtainable in traditional high schools.
