IMSA Energy Center students and staff recently showcased their research work in alternative energy on ABC-TV Chicago in its "Live Green With ABC 7" series appearing on its weekly 5 p.m. newscast.

IMSA Energy Center researchers Olivia Legan and Mitchell Bieniek shared their research findings and ideas on alternative energy sources with WLS-TV Special Projects Producter Sylvia Jones. In addition, IMSA Science Teacher and Energy Center Director Branson Lawrence spoke about the work students have accomplished as well as the overall goals of the Energy Center.
Created in 2009, the IMSA Energy Center, supported by ComEd, works with 50-100 students every year who engage with the best and brightest in the science community to explore alternative energy solutions.
ComEd Vice President for Regulatory Policy and Strategy Dr. Ross Hemphill, also a member of the IMSA Fund Board of Directors, said the company is pleased to be able to support IMSA's efforts.
