Two members of the IMSA Science faculty and one member of the Wellness faculty have successfully completed all of the requirements to receive certification with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).

IMSA senior Sam Kwak is featured in the Autumn 2010 edition of Capabilities, a newsletter of the Northwestern University Prosthetics/Orthotics Center for Education and Research.

For the fifth year, IMSA’s Information Resource Center and student volunteers coordinated and hosted IMSA Community Family Reading Night for area elementary school students and their families. This year’s theme was “Buggin’ Out at IMSA!”

In its 2010 publication, Planting the Seeds for a Diverse U.S. STEM Pipeline, the Bayer Corporation names IMSA FUSION (formerly known as IMSA Excellence 2000+) among only 38 programs nationwide as “K-12 Best Practice Programs.”

IMSA Charter Class of 1989 graduate and U.S. Navy  Reserve Chief Petty Officer Ron McKenzie was the guest speaker at IMSA’s Veterans Day Program on November 11, 2010.

The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) has scheduled an IMSA Preview Day for Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m..

IMSA recently inducted 35 students from throughout Illinois into its chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS).

An IMSA team of "white hat hackers" made headlines for being named finalists during the 7th Annual Cyber Security Awareness Week challenges, held at Polytechnic Institute of New York University.

Girls in grades 4-5 from throughout the Aurora area learned that science is not so scary during the Science Spooktacular held at IMSA.
