Educators and top students from 35 different schools in 18 countries will convene to not only experience the academic, business and cultural offerings in IL but will compete and learn together as they address three global challenges.

The Board of Trustees of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) has elected a new slate of officers, including charter class alumnus Dr. Erin W. Roche as its chair.

Robert Chang

IMSA has announced the appointment of alumnus Robert Chang as Chief Strategy Officer. Mr. Chang, an entrepreneur and investor, returns to IMSA with a strong background in strategy execution and new product development across early-stage companies, venture capital, Fortune 50 companies, and the non-profit sector.

IMSA was named a winner of the 16th annual Chicago Innovation Awards for its new innovation center, IN2. The winners were announced at an event held at Chicago’s Harris Theater on Monday, October 30, with nearly 1,500 business and civic leaders, and supporters of innovation in attendance.

Advancements in global technology are happening closer than you think and by those younger than you might imagine. IMSA nurtures a strong and diverse pipeline of innovative leaders.

Ayan Agarwal, an IMSA student and Hinsdale native, won first prize at the first-ever regional business pitch competition, “The Next Launch,” on Wednesday, May 17.
