Two teams from the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) received the highest ranking possible in the 12th annual international High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling (HiMCM). Their performance placed IMSA among the top eight schools in the world in this year’s competition.

Four seniors at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) are among only eight from Illinois and 300 in the nation who were named Intel Science Talent Search (Intel STS) Semifinalists in the 69th Annual Intel Science Talent Search.

In his State of the State Address, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn said "jobs follow brain power" and applauded IMSA for its role in developing the kind of minds needed to power our State's economy forward.

IMSA Student Sidanth Sapru of Naperville is one of only two high school students selected to represent Illinois in the United States Senate Youth Program.

The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) has scheduled an IMSA Preview Day for Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m..  IMSA Preview Day is an opportunity for students, their parents and teachers to learn more about the Academy's academic and residential life programs.

Four IMSA seniors were named semifinalists in the prestigious national Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology.

The IMSA community had even more to celebrate following several special presentations at the community-wide celebration in honor of its Intel Star Innovator Award.
