“As educators and community leaders, we all share the strong commitment to the future of our society and there is no question that the youth of our community are our future,” Bondi said.

In addition to Bondi, IMSA Class of 2009 graduate Kristen Lee, IMSA staff members Bob Hernandez, Margaret Hernandez, Linsey Crowninshield, Michelle Kolar, Tracy Miller and Julie Dowling and IMSA student members of LEAD also helped to facilitate the program for the 30 students from Aurora who attended the camp.

In addition, other community leaders helped to make the inaugural program a success including Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner, Marium Wade Hicks, student assistant program coordinator for West Aurora SD 129, Dan Barreiro, director of community services for the City of Aurora, and State Rep.
