For the fifth consecutive year, the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy was named to the "Public Elites" list in Newsweek Magazine's Best High Schools in the U.S. special report.

This year IMSA is one of only 21 educational institutions nationwide and one of only two in Illinois named to the list. The other in Illinois is University Laboratory High School in Urbana. IMSA and University Laboratory High School were also the only two from Illinois named to the list last year, which included 16 high schools nationwide.
The internationally recognized Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) develops creative, ethical leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
