IMSA Team Makes Headlines in National Cyber Forensics Challenge

An IMSA team of "white hat hackers" made headlines for being named finalists during the 7th Annual Cyber Security Awareness Week challenges, held at Polytechnic Institute of New York University.

The front page of The Beacon-News story "Hackers for Good" featured the team of IMSA students Alex Goins of Springfield and Ian McInerney and Ben Taylor of Urbana-Champaign, and sponsor Namrata Pandya of Naperville, IMSA mathematics and computer science faculty member.

The IMSA team placed in the Top 12 among 120 teams from high schools across the country.  This was only the second year for the high school portion of the competition and the first year IMSA entered.
