IMSA Quiz Bowl Team Takes 4th Place in Nation

IMSA’s Quiz Bowl team took 4th place in the nation at the PACE (Partnership for Academic Competition Excellence)  National Scholastics Championship in St. Louis out of 64 high school teams in the U.S.

IMSA Class of 2012 graduates and A-team members Webster Guan of Lisle, Nolan Maloney of Naperville, Eric Ordonez of Aurora and Adam Kalinich of Glen Ellyn competed at the PACE National Championship June 9-10 at Washington University in St. Louis.

In addition to the team’s overall finish, team captain Webster Guan was name a National All-Star for leading the 4th place team.

PACE is a non-profit alliance of college and high school academic teams that specifically organize high school academic tournaments across the country. 

In addition, B-team members finished in the top 20 nationwide in its first appearance at this competition.

The Quiz Bowl team is coached by IMSA Mathematics Faculty Member Dr. Noah Prince.
