Apply Now for IMSA Saturday Student Enrichment Program

Registration is now open for ninth-graders in the Chicago area to participate in the PROMISE - Early Involvement Program (EIP) sponsored by the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA). The application deadline is Friday, October 5, 2012. Applications are now available online.

In its 21st year, PROMISE - EIP is designed to help African-American, Latino and economically disadvantaged students improve their mathematics, science and communications skills as well as increase their competitiveness if they choose to apply to IMSA.

The Chicago Saturday sessions will be held at IMSA in Aurora October 27, 2012 - February 23, 2013.  Transportation will be provided for students in Chicago to IMSA.

PROMISE - EIP will include discovery-based and collaborative activities, as well as some preparation for the Scholastic Aptitude Test. Students develop research, decision-making, and self-motivation skills while studying mathematics, science and English. Students also will attend an all-day retreat at IMSA in December. Visit the admissions website.

Ninth grade African-American, Latino and economically disadvantaged students who reside in the Chicago area are eligible for the program. Students can direct questions to IMSA Admissions at (630) 907-5028 or 1-800-500-IMSA.
