The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy fosters the discoverers. The thinkers. The innovators and experimenters. The problem solvers of the future. IMSA prepares a strong and diverse STEM pipeline at its tuition-free residential Academy for 10th through 12 grade gifted and talented Illinois students.

2016/2017 Accomplishments

  • IMSA's new innovation center, IN2, won the People’s Choice Award at the 16th annual Chicago Innovation Awards. The Chicago Innovation Awards, celebrating its 16th year, is the Chicago region’s foremost recognition of the most innovative new products or services brought to market or to public service each year.
  • IMSA will host the International Student Science Fair June 27-July 1, 2018 marking the first time the event has been held in the United States.

Jose Torres, PhD, President of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) invites you to apply for this leadership opportunity to foster a uniquely challenging, highly personalized program of advanced study for our talented students who understand and share our passion for our mission.  The Dean will lead IMSA’s residential academic affairs with responsibility for: curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional learning.  The successful candidate will begin July 1, 2018.
