The SAT test is required of all applicants (Math and Evidenced-Based Reading & Writing sections). The Essay is not required for admission to IMSA. The SAT test is administered nationally by the College Board. To register, visit their website. When registering, please use IMSA’s SAT school code #3027 to ensure that we receive a copy of your test results.
Please note that College Board implemented the new, redesigned SAT in March 2016, and only scores from the new test will be accepted. Class of 2022 applicants will have until the March 2019 test date to complete the SAT. SAT tests taken after the March 2019 test date will not be accepted for this application cycle.
The cost to register for the SAT is $46 if registering by the priority deadline. Students who qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program may be eligible for a testing fee waiver, which must be requested from your current high school guidance counselor. More information about SAT fee waivers can be found here.
