Welcome Kim Simon – New IMSA Fund Board President

Kim Simon has served as a director for the IMSA Fund for Advancement of Education for 7 years. After a successful term as Vice President, she has been elected to the office of President. We are grateful for her leadership and willingness to serve, and are confident that the IMSA Fund will flourish with Kim at the helm.

Kim is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience leading strategic transformation, operational excellence, and cultural evolution across complex organizations. In her current role at bp as Vice President of Retail Business Support for Mobility & Convenience Americas, Kim oversees a broad portfolio that includes marketing, customer excellence, merchandising services, and data & analytics. Her team supports these activities for multiple brands in the US including bp, Amoco, ampm, Thorntons, and Travel Centers of Americas. In this role, Kim focuses on driving integration, efficiency, and brand excellence across the Mobility & Convenience Americas retail business.

Kim is known for her collaborative leadership style and her ability to navigate change with empathy and clarity.  Her leadership is grounded in a deep commitment to integrity, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Kim brings a forward-thinking approach to governance, with a strong focus on mission alignment, stakeholder engagement, and long-term impact.

She holds an Executive MBA from the University of Charleston and a dual degree in Accounting and Finance from Marshall University. Kim is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). She began her career at BP in 2011 and has held numerous leadership roles within the company.

Whether in the workplace or the community, Kim is passionate about creating environments where people thrive, ideas flourish, and meaningful progress is made. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to warm destinations.
