Why did you Choose IMSA?
I chose IMSA because I was intrigued with the problem-based approach to learning math and science. I was excited to know there was a place where I could be immersed in these subjects and not limited to learning through just lectures and textbooks. Also, living on campus was a huge draw for me. I was the only child at home, after my older siblings left for college, and I knew that being a part of the IMSA community would fill that void.

Advice to current IMSA students?
A huge part of the educational opportunity that IMSA offers is through the diverse community that it provides and all that students can learn from being a part of it. While it is important to focus on your core subjects, don’t miss out on the chance to learn about the other cultures and perspectives that your classmates represent. Build meaningful relationships, have thoughtful conversations and participate in activities that will help to give you a more global view on life. Cultivate and leverage those relationships throughout your personal and professional life. If you are aligned with IMSA’s mission to advance the human condition, then you will see the value in understanding and embracing the totality of the human experience and the innovation that is driven by diversity.
